Gaza’s babies are facing a severe nutrition crisis.
Food shortages, displacement, lack of clean water, and the collapse of health services have placed newborns and young children at serious risk of malnutrition.
Breastfeeding remains the safest form of infant feeding in emergencies and should be protected and supported wherever possible. However, some babies cannot be breastfed because their mothers are malnourished, unwell, traumatised, separated, or medically unable to feed them.
In these urgent cases, safe and appropriate infant formula can help protect babies from hunger, illness, and life-threatening malnutrition.
Infants are among the most vulnerable in any humanitarian crisis. Without safe nutrition, babies face a higher risk of malnutrition, dehydration, infection, poor growth, and preventable death.
