Challenge Event Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all individuals registering to participate in a challenge event organised by Palestine Aid.
By submitting a registration form and participating in a challenge event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Palestine Aid is a registered charitable organisation providing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable communities.
2. Eligibility
Participants must:
- Be 18 years of age or older, unless otherwise stated.
- Be physically capable of completing the challenge.
- Provide accurate and truthful information when registering.
- Ensure they are legally entitled to remain in the UK, where applicable.
Palestine Aid reserves the right to refuse or cancel participation if eligibility requirements are not met.
3. Registration and Payment
Participants must complete the official registration form and pay the applicable registration fee.
- Registration fees are non-refundable, except where the event is cancelled by Palestine Aid.
- Registration is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed.
- Places may be limited and allocated on a first-come basis.
4. Fundraising Commitment
Participants agree to raise the minimum fundraising target set for the selected challenge.
Where applicable:
A proportion of the fundraising target may be required before the event date.
Participants are expected to raise at least 80% of the fundraising target one month prior to the event date.
Palestine Aid reserves the right to cancel participation if fundraising requirements are not met.
Participants agree to actively promote their fundraising efforts.
All funds raised must be transferred through approved fundraising channels.
Registration fees remain non-refundable regardless of fundraising progress.
5. Participant Responsibilities
Participants are responsible for:
- Arriving at the designated meeting point on time.
- Bringing appropriate clothing and equipment required for the challenge.
- Following all instructions provided by event organisers and safety personnel.
- Acting respectfully and responsibly throughout the event.
Failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from the event.
6. Health and Medical Responsibility
Participants must ensure they are medically fit to take part in the challenge.
- They are physically capable of completing the challenge.
- Any relevant medical conditions have been disclosed.
- They accept the physical demands associated with the event.
Palestine Aid reserves the right to refuse participation on health or safety grounds.
7. Risk Acknowledgement
Challenge events may involve physical activity and inherent risk.
- You understand the risks involved.
- Participation is undertaken at your own risk.
- Palestine Aid cannot be held liable for injuries sustained during participation except where required by law.
8. Photography and Media
Palestine Aid may take photographs and videos during challenge events for use across:
- Website content
- Social media platforms
- Promotional materials
- Marketing campaigns
By participating, you consent to the use of such materials unless you notify Palestine Aid prior to the event.
9. Data Protection
Personal data collected during registration will be used for:
- Managing event participation
- Communicating event updates
- Administering fundraising activities
All data is processed in accordance with UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and applicable data protection laws.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting the registration form and participating in a Palestine Aid challenge event, participants confirm that they:
- Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
- Agree to comply with all participation requirements
- Accept the risks associated with the event
