Emergency Clean Water Support for Displaced Families in Gaza City
Displaced families in Gaza City and surrounding camps are facing severe shortages of clean and safe water. Many families do not have reliable access to water for drinking, cooking, washing, hygiene, or basic sanitation.
Palestine Aid / Filastin Aid responded by delivering 10 emergency water trucks to displaced communities. Each truck carried approximately 6,000 litres of clean drinking water, delivering a total of approximately 60,000 litres of potable water.
The project reached an estimated 4,000 people, helping families access safe water during a period of severe shortage.
The distribution was carried out under difficult field conditions, including long travel distances, truck availability issues, crowd pressure, and security challenges. Despite these challenges, all 10 water trucks were successfully discharged and clean water was delivered to families across Gaza City and surrounding displacement camps.
For displaced families living in overcrowded and unstable conditions, clean water is essential for survival. This project provided immediate relief by helping families access water for drinking, cooking, washing, and basic hygiene.
